Do you flag hubs that are just blatant advertising?
I see so many that are not articles at all-just ads for things that usually look like scams. I'm wondering how many people flag those when they see them, and how they determine which hubs to flag.
I focus more on appreciating good works of hubbers though I flag hubs too but rarely if content is extremely promotional or irritating
Yes, I do -- these are spam, and spam doesn't have any place on a quality writing site. Admin can only do something about it if someone alerts them to its presence, and I certainly don't hesitate to hit the "flag" button whenever I hop across a hub that violates the TOS in any way, including spamming.
Thanks for the advice! I'd love to hear from more hubbers!
i have seen these hubs. however, i havent started flagging them. i joined over 6 months again but just began to write for hub pages.
i was considering flagging these and i believe starting today that i will.
I haven't come across any hubs yet that need flagging.

I'm just wondering as a newbie here (four weeks yesterday, if my math is right ) if it's common practice for hubbers to write hubs with the intent of ridiculing or tearing apart other hubbers? I've recently experienced this and handled it in my own way well enough (I think--I posted a rebuttal...

Dear HubTeam:I know there have been a few forum threads about this topic, but hear me out please. By the way, this thread refers to the rating down of hubs, not flagging. I have no problem with the flagging feature and see it as a necessary evil. Even if someone misuses it, they have to go through...

I was thinking that the hub hopping tool is great and all, but it doesn't really address hubs that are older and have slipped through the cracks for months and even years.I was thinking that we could have an adopt a topic program. For example, I've been writing a lot of hubs on Nepal and have looked...

I have read numerous hubs while hopping that I thought would be great if the writer did some editing or word smithing. I thought it would be nice to let people know that thier piece could be so much better with out trying to hurt anyones feelings. I have commented on a couple of pages...
