Nelle suggested this book by Richard Russo. I just finished it last night. Very good book.
It is about a man who I believe is going through a mid-life crisis. Trying to figure out exactly who he is and if he is more like the parents that he seems to despise. The book winds through both his current marriage and his memories of his parents and the summers they spend at the Cape.
Nelle can probably recap better than I, I'm not a great reviewer.
Ahhhhh....so the mid-life crisis is really a novel in disguise, Nelle?
That sounds like a book I would be interested in. I have fond memories of the one summer I visited the Cape in the '70s.
Sounds interesting jane. Question. Do you think woman go through mid-life crisis....lol. Seriously though I do wonder. Or is that just a man thing?
After reading this forum, I am off to the bookstore to find it

* I didn't make the pic, I just put in the 'hubpages' bits.** I think it shows far too much sleep. Half of those sleeping slots could be used for more hubbing.
