I'm just learning about online writing and Search Engine Optimization. The writing part is fun, the rest...not so much.
I signed up for Amazon's associates program and I still don't see any amazon ads on my hubs. What's up with that?
What am I missing? Please take a look and let me know if I need an extreme makeover. Thanks so much!

Cheeky, only the Adsense ads show up automatically. For Amazon ads, you have to add an Amazon capsule (or capsules). It's always best to choose specific products - open Amazon in a new window, search for relevant products, then copy the ISBN or ASIN number into the Amazon capsule. If you add a description (like a mini-review) for each item, that's even better.
Nice Hubs, maybe a tad short. Always spread your text over several text capsules and leave the first text capsule on its own at the top of the Hub (no photo). The top right hand corner is the prime position for an ad, so if you're signed up for Adsense you leave it for that - if not, put your first Amazon capsule there.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I reorganized both my hubs and added Amazon capsules. Thanks for clearing that up!
At first I put in descriptions, but then ended up deleting them because my hub felt too broken up. I also added a video clip to my horseback wine tasting hub and removed a few of the pictures. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your feedback.
I'm sure my next hub will be better as a result of my new knowledge. Thanks for taking the time to help me learn.

So, this is the third time HP has snipped Amazon from my hubs. Every time one of my Hubs is edited by HubPages to add to a network site they snip any Amazon capsules on the Hub. The Amazon capsule is always extremely relevant to the topic discussed and is not spammy, yet HubPages doesn't seem to...

I think it would be so good if we can add the zazzle products to our hubs via Zazzle Capsule just like We do it for Amazon. It will help us improve traffic and of course earnings.

For my first hub I asked my mom if it would be alright for me to do a review of her book. She agreed and I wrote one up. I intended to post a link from my hub to her book on amazon, however, upon further reading I read it is generally a good idea to have one or two hubs already posted before I try...

For the first time since writing at HP, I have had an email saying that a Hub cannot be featured because it has "spammy elements." The email goes on to say that it could be that an ad is not related to the topic. I have only got one amazon capsule on the Hub in question (which I have now...
