Does Anyone Else Have A Writing Habit?

For example when I sit down to write I just have to have beside me a cup of steaming coffee, my favourite pen for notes and my comfy cushion to park my rear end on. If any of these items are missing I'm all out of sorts!

Oh my gosh, I love to write as much as I love to paint and draw.  I'm happiest when I am creating something.  I also love a great novel.  Happy hubbing to all:)

Hello, Yes I have to have a mug of tea or coffee close by. I generally keep a mug on the table across the room so no spillages beside my computer.

Every few paragraphs I walk over to get a drink and mull over where to go next with my writing.

If I don't have anything in the mug when I get there, I just can't really concentrate on my writing. So I consider that a habit smile

LOL!  definitely.  I try to publish something somewhere daily.  It may not be here - but if it's not it's dang sure somewhere.

It's either coffee, tea, or beer. . . . .and heck, it seems like I'm always sitting here. . .

It used to be my writing habit was to go anywhere that wasn't my house that I could sit at a table and have coffee next to me for hours and hours and write. My favorite was the local greasy spoon with a mild variation of other coffee shops depending on the time of day. Then I began working early in the morning, and the bus would get me to work 45 minutes early, and I would use that time to write. Now I get up at 5 in the morning due to my work schedule, so that I can write every morning. I might not write anything worth reading, but usually an idea or two pop up. So far, I enjoy it.
but if i had my 'drutheres, I would have unlimited coffee by my side and wouldn't be able to keep my knee still for so much java. The ideas really flow then...it's just the concentration on one subject at a time that is lacking smile
