How many people are on HubPages that have never written a hub?

Do you find you have followers that have been on HubPages for quite some time but have never written a hub?

I think some of my followers just wanted to read my posts.  They had followed my blog previously and just followed me over to hubpages.  However, I do notice quite a few people who only have a few hubs, even after having been members for a while.  I try to encourage people like that by commenting.  I know that after about 20 hubs I started to get in a slump and it was harder to want to write.  I think that people probably need some encouragement to keep on going.

Very interesting question as just recently I've answered a couple of questions and they were from contributors who have been around for a while, followed people, had followers but hadn't written any hubs - very curious?

yes I do-people who know me personally and are here as my readers. Although one of them has told me he is considering writing one (my dad).

At first I was afraid to write a Hub because I didn't think I had anything to say that people would read.  I think that might be why some people make HubPages accounts but never post.  I think some get started but never really act on what they want to do.  I think everyone should try writing a Hub.  I was very pleasantly surprised when I wrote my first one and my score steadied above 70 with a commenter on the first day.  Perhaps some people just come on to read Hubs and make accounts so they can leave comments and remember a certain person's Hub by following them.

My husband opened his own hubpages account about 3 months ago (give or take). The only reason he opened it was because he would often times read my articles that I posted on Facebook. Without having an account he had to comment under a guest username. Therefore, he just opened account so he could sign in and read and comment. It wasn't until last week that he actually wrote anything. Then again, writing really isn't his thing. It is mine. So, I am just happy he tried it. He published 2 things and I wouldn't be surpised if that is all that he does!

Yes, I do have a couple of followers that have never written a hub. Two of them are my family members- an aunt and my mother. The others I'm not sure about. If I see them sitting stagnant -for six month or so- without writing or commenting, I might flag them.

Yes, I have some followers who don't have a single hub. I have 2 referrals too and its unfortunate that they have not written any hubs either sad

I've seen plenty of users without any published Hubs. I personally think that HubPages is slowly taking a turn towards becoming a unique kind of a social networking site. People can spend hours on HubPages everyday and not even think about publishing a Hub. Don't you just love this site. There's something for everyone.
