Yes, and yes but its not a get wealthy overnight scenario. It takes time and an investment of your effort to deliver value to the people that read what you post. Set up Adsense and eBay accounts as well as the Hub pages earnings sections. Go to your "my account" section and sign up. You will have to share your personal information because when you do earn money you do get paid and they have to keep track for tax purposes as do you but you'll see its secure in your browser with the https://. Write really good content that brings value and attracts people to visit. You're far better off to write a handful of topics you know well and have provided value to the people that read them than mass producing hubs with type-os and incomplete sentences and that don't somehow have a beginning and an end. Its important to see what your words generate as far as "sales items" you don't want too many and you don't want the wrong things you can change your key words for instance if you write something where you put words that can have negative or overtly sexy overtones it can generate things you don't necessarily want attached to your hub pages. Example: I wrote a hub page for parents and kids to do an activity and one of the keywords some how put dating hot women in the ads so I had to change the key words so it was "appropriate" to the content. See you around the hubs and will be following--- Good luck!!
Writing good strong content will build your following and help to raise your score.
Concentrate on useful and helpful, unique subjects. Start leaving comments and visit as many hubs as you can. In return, others will begin to read your hubs and leave comments. It takes time to build a good, supportive following, but you will find that everyone here at hubpages will give you support and reciprocation.
The money will come. It took me a year. But what a year it was! Building terrific friendships, sharpening my writing skills, and learning more about everything than I ever did in school.
I suggest that you set a goal for yourself, such as 3 hubs a week, or even 3 hubs a day. I found that entering the 30 day hub challenge helped me to write everyday. You will learn and grow as you write. Be as supportive as you can for other hubbers. Visit the forums too.
Feel free to contact me anytime you have a question or concern.

How to earn money through writing?
by Susannah Birch 8 years ago
You can't. Just had to put that out there as I'm seeing newbies all over the forums going on about these topics lately.Serious money comes from getting views from Google NOT from having other hubbers visit your work. Some of the top hubbers on the site have separate accounts NO ONE knows about to...
