Reading through the help files is a good idea
HubPages pays out revenue on the 20th of the month for the previous month's earnings. Given that, your monthly "payment" is on a 30-day cycle (each month you're compensated for what you earned the month before) and your monthly "earnings" is the amount of revenue you generated for that month specifically.
