Do older profile of hubpages have any effects on Profile score?
If profile age effects the profile score than how much it does, and if not then why?
Scores should be ignored - a high score won't bring you higher traffic or earnings.
Time does play a part in scores - if you open a new account, publish ten quality hubs and don't interact with the site in any way (no forum messages, hub comments etc), leave the account for one month and come back, you'll usually have an Author score of at least 75.
What, exactly, goes into scores is not something that's shared by HubPages beyond what appears in the "help" section of this site.
New people start out with low author scores, but it doesn't usually take them long to see their scores go up past 75, 80, 90 if they've written some good Hubs and don't do things that will lower a score (like post "spammy" Hubs or follow hundreds of Hubbers in the belief that will get back hundreds of followers).
So it doesn't take a very "old" profile for a person to get into the 90's. I know of at least one Hubber who got to an author score of 100 within six or seven weeks of signing up.
Everybody's different, and scores can go up and down for the same person from one hour to the next (usually within a range of a few points), but it's pretty common to see someone very new have a score under 50 and days (maybe a week) later be more in the area of 70's, 80's (or so). So, I think the only way the age of profile, by itself, affects score is when the account is brand new. Beyond that, all the other stuff HubPages tells you (in the "help" section) goes into scores is what determines a person's score.

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

For months I published no hubs and my hubber score sat around 96, in the last month I published three hubs, all of which are featured and each time I published one my hubber score dropped by two points, it's now down to 90. Is this how HP rewards us for our hard work? Correct me if I'm wrong but...

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...

I'm thinking the answer is probably yes?If you have hubs that have been deemed "not featured", for one reason or another, will that factor into lowering your overall score/rating as a HubPages member? Example--let's say your overall rating is 75. If 10 non featured hubs become...

Hello everyone. I'm very new to hubpages, day 2 and counting. I'm trying to figure out what all of these scores mean. There are some next to my hubs and one next to the picture on my profile. And what does it mean when these go up and down? Just wondering if I'm getting off to a good start.

Is HubPages trying to discourage its writers and get them to quit writing?Every time I publish a hub my Hubber score goes down then it goes up by 1-2 points and then down by 1-2 points. Then when I am not on here for a day or two it goes down by more than 2 points. This is very...
