What is meant by a mature hub?

I was looking for answers to the question:  How long does it take for a hub to mature.  It occurred to me that I only have a general idea of how a mature hub is defined.  All opinions welcome.

In my opinion, A mature hub is between 3 months old and 1 year.  The term applies to the cycle that a hub or article may go through before valid statistics are applied by a search engine.  That period may differ from hub to hub and may also be dependent upon factors such as competition.

HubPages once reported that according to the statistics they see that cover the entire site, a Hub will (on average) achieve its peak of audience reach and traffic after it's been published for three years.

To me, those are mature Hubs.

For me, at least 1-2 years but it could be 3 years like what relache said. Would take a lot of time and devotion before you are able to hit mature hub smile
