      I wrote a "guide to backlinks" you can check it out, I'm sure it will help.  It's against the TOS for me to post it here.

          thanks Richard - i read it - seems I'm doing lots of stuff right  - so far the best educated guessing has kept me going - my hubbs keep the red arrows up 80 percent of the time - think I just need to write some more and calm down a bit - and follow the advice in your hubb that I haven't yet figured out and wait - Thanks for the help smile

        What IS against the TOS is for you to create a forum thread saying something like "Hey, I've written this hub on backlinks. here's the link. check it out! "

    Not a problem, the trick to earn here on HP is to write a lot of content. Sooner or later people are going to start bookmarking your hubs and link to them in their blogs and build backlinks for you.  Just write what people are searching for if you want to earn, otherwise just write what you like to write.
