Why won't my HubPages account and my Adsense report show the same amount in earnings?
Not that I need to worry much about it yet, but since I started my HubPages account always reports more than my Adsense. Is there some extra sync I need to do?
Those are two different programs, the earnings coming from different advertisement types.
Are you talking about the HubPages Ad Program and Google Adsense? If so, like Website Examiner said, they are two different programs so your earnings will be different.
They are different schemes, hubpages run their own which is a combination of incomes from google adsense, amazon, e-bay and referals (if you have any) and are totalled up into your hubpage earnings. They also used to use other ad servies such as Kontera which would be included in this. They will also add bonuses or prices from writing contests and the like to this fund
Adsense is totally separate from this, I believe adsense splits income between you and hubpages and hubpages then also return a percentage of this back to you.
So both earnings are totally seperate and the hubpages amount is likely to be higher as it gathers income from more one program.
Thank you all! I didn't realize that! I thought I was missing a step or something. Thank you.
