Backlinking is when someone references/points your URL or site. It is best if this occurs naturally, but there are many ways that you can obtain backlinks. Some of these include things that you can do such as posting to Twitter, FaceBook, Digg, Redit, Pinterest, Redgage, etc. Guest blogging or answering questions on various sites and referencing your related hubs in another way of backlinking.
is an unseen web of links from content on one web page to another. a one way link would be one pointing to your hub; a reciprocal link is one pointing to your hub from another page and one pointing from your hub back to your linking source. the more authority the sites have that link to you the better for your site, this is called link popularity, the most practical linking method is linking from unique content that is relevant to your site content.
