If you have new content or comments then it probably would be good.
I will sometimes update a hub and then will make sure to ping it. I will also ping a hub that has gotten some new or interesting comments. It has been helpful and keeps it moving!

Have you received any spam comments on Hubpages?I've been on HP for a long time and this morning was the first that I ever got a spam message to one of my hubs. They all but accuse me of running some kind of kiddie porn dungeon, because on my hub about having 'itchy nuts', some worried '14 year olds' have questioned whether the fact they masturbate might be the cause of their itching. In the comments section.Go figure.
