What's Your Favourite Free Site For Photographs That Can Be Used For Hubs?
I often find that the non-copyrighted images on Wikipedia, work just fine for me...
I use Wikimedia Commons for most of my images. They have just about everything you're looking for and it's easy to use.
I use Flickr Creative Commons:
Have you tried photobucket.com Seeker. Occasionally they have a good variety of specialized pics needed.
I use mostly use morguefiles. Looking for something specific I have recently found pdphoto dot org. rgbstock is another good one and Wikimedia Commons
All are free just require atributes
And of course there is flickr
I use freedigitalphotos.net. They have a good variety of standard photo selctions but not as varied as Microsoft Photos. I have tried Wikimedia Commons which also has a pretty good selection.
Wikimedia Commons is my favorite place to get photographs, because its license and usage info is clearly marked. In Flickr, sometimes the member may mark the photograph as Creative Common, but in reality they may not have the rights to it.
My favourite site for free photos is wikimedia commons free photographs. I find it easy to navigate, which for me is important, if a sites not easy to use it's no fun either.
I like this place: http://www.sxc.hu/
Most images are free to use, and others have easy rules to follow, the quality of images is high too.
I use Wikimedia Commons because there are so many photos from a large array of categories. It is rare when you can't find a photo that is appropriate for your hubs. Also, you usually don't have to attach the name of the person who took the photo.
1. Hi Rosemay - many thanks for the suggestions, I haven't heard of the sites you mention, so will look them up.
2. Hi Alastar, I will give photobucket a try - I had forgotten about this site and haven't used it before.
Wiki commons, photobucket and freedigitalphotos depending if I want a standard photo of businessman(freedigitalphoto) or the photo of a specific athlete (wiki)...
I just found this! How about these sites?

Use Flickr photos under Creative Commons license.
Like most other people, wikimedia commons.
I stay away from Google images because the majority of them are copyrighted by someone.

Hello, happy new year, thanks in advance for helping me out. I'm new here, and I would like to ask, where do you guys get your photos? Hubpages clearly stated that we need to use original photos? But, I'm not a photographer nor have any budget to purchase photos whatsoever. I'm wondering, what if I...

When our hubs were once chosen, we had a way to see what was supposed to be fixed before it appeared on a niche site. Now I don't see anything like that. It could be me, but there was a way to see what they wanted added or deleted. It's very frustrating. Yesterday I was told my hub on Zeus, the...

One of my big problem is, I do basically nothing with pictures and videos. Because I'm not really sure where I can get them. I am more or less talking about pictures, but if their is some hidden secret with videos aside from youtube, that would be great! Also I am sure it is key to give credit?...

I find that some images need a full copy of the GFDL to be attached to the image being used.I would like to know from hubbers how this is done.
