If your boss asked for your facebook or Hubpages name and password to see what type of person u are.
what do u think about Be care full of what you say your employer may as for you facebook account and password. Some employer's in some states are asking now to see what type of person you are, Gadsden Times, Business and finance, page A-8 March 21,20012
I would say:"It's none of your business. But if you are really interested, give me your Facebook and Hubpages name and password. Then, I will give you mine". That's it! Your boss has to know where his authority ends.
If I ever encountered this problem, I would just say that I don't use Facebook or any social media. They wouldn't be able to force me to set up an account, just to see what sort of person I am.
only fool boss can ask u such details, u cant even dare to ask your bro..
I try to keep my Facebook as silly and inoffensive as possible so I have nothing to hide, but even so, that would be a pretty massive invasion of my privacy and therefore I wouldn't want to work for anyone who would ask such a thing.
I would tell my boss to get lost! It's none of his/her business! The only ones who know my password are my family and a close friend. Outside of work you should be allowed a life and interests without nosey and paranoid bosses stalking you to see what you're up to. If they insisted, I'm afraid I'd be telling them where to stick their job!
i would tell him no. i'm my own boss but if i wasn't, i would either say no or tell them i don't use either site. it's not their business about my personal life.
I would tell them no, that I keep my personal life and work separate.
It also depends on the industry that you are working in. I know that the local police department insists on the passwords to Facebook as part of the hiring/recruitment process. Its not out of the realm of possibility for a potential employer to ask for this and it also is a good reminder that everything you put on the Internet is traced back to you. Never post something that you would be ashamed or embarrassed for your employer to know about.

Can your boss change your business email password without your consent? In my absence of roughly two months, my boss intentionally changed my business email's password to be able to access my emails but WITHOUT my consent. Should this be a breach of one's privacy even if it's a business email?
