Can answering hubs be as meaningful as writing one?

Can we serve our fellow writers as well just by answering hubs?

I love answering the questions...but for a more in depth treatment, a hub would be better..

I actually get a lot of satisfaction out of doing both, so yes. It has also helped me find some interesting hubbers to follow based on their responses. Win-Win!

Yes, it might be possible that a person has a question on which no one has a hub on or does not meet his expectations. Answering his\her question will mean a lot to that person.
