I came across something about wal-mart selling caskets and had to look for myself, but a search on the walmart.com site didn't bring any results. I found a number of articles and blogs with lots of details (no refunds.. ha ha) but I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen this, and wtf is wal-mart doing selling CASKETS?
Maybe their selection is as..interesting as the people who shop there (www.peopleofwalmart.com).
Haha, yeah they are, I just saw it on the news. I wonder if they are made in China like most of the products they sell. IDK crazy.
At least now all of their employees with crappy health care can get a discount on a casket.
First I've heard of it. You know the saying, "If you build them (and sell them) they will come." (or should that be, "...they will bargain shop for grandma's casket).
For those who want the very best for their loved ones - LOL.
What's next - urns? Or do they already sell those too?
hi POPPA..saw the sites.....they are fastly selling everything, they display at the stores? geeezzz
Cool! They have lay away right? Plan ahead is what I always say :-)
Why can't I find them? I'm in Canada maybe they don't sell them up here... oh well it was a good laugh
The ABC link I posted above says they only sell them online. They're delivered in 48 hours of ordering, by the way.
Apparently, the Federal law (US) requires funeral homes to accept "third-party" caskets. I guess it must be to allow families to have more options than just buying the marked up version from the funeral home.

We are talking about Wal-Mart at school right now and there are two sides to this story. The bad side is how Wal-Mart is moving all of their manufacturing jobs over seas which ends up having a negative effect here in America. But also, Americans are getting rock bottom prices on most goods Wal-Mart...

Hubpages might take the link down on this page, but this hub contains the main concept I want to discuss: <link snipped>Basically, we need to demand that the big corporations like McDonalds and Wal•Mart pay their employees a respectable wage. These companies are absolutely filthy rich, and...

What makes for a successful trip to Wal-Mart?Is it to get in and out as quickly as possible? Or, is taking your time and saving some money the best way? OORRR, is the only successful trip the one that ends up not being made?
