    it's only important if you want to have google adsense and an additional income stream.

      Okay. Thank you for the information. My adsense was not approved yet. Anyhow, I've linked my account with amazon. I hope I could get as much additional income even without adsense.

      If at all Hub Pages and Amazon come to an understanding wherein you are paid through the ad program even for your amazon sales, you won't be able to do so until you have an Adsense acc.

    You will not be able to participate in the HubPages Ad programme without an approved Google Adsense account.
