Why do some hubbers have their photos in the Google search results?

Often when searching on Google  a hub is in the search results. Sometimes the hubbers profile picture is in the search results. Why does this happen for some hubbers and not others?

Not sure if this is correct, but it could occur because they don't include any photos in the hub itself? Or perhaps their profile image is the first on the page.

Sometimes after sharing one of my hubs on google + my pic is in google search results. Mainly because it is showing who shared it. Even hubs that I have not included a pic for do not show up with my pic in google search unless I have shared it from another source.

See Glenn Stok's turorial or mine on how to get your author info to appear in Google results. This  includes both your profile photo and links to other stuff you've written.

(Google "hubpages Google authorship" for these tutorials.)

I think that at a certain point all the photos can make their way to the Google search photos. I just noticed mine are there. Kind of creepy, and exciting....

    Because they've named the images.

If you add photos to a hub they are gonna appear in google search as long as you're page has been crawled by google. Hope this helps.

This is due to the Authorship feature offered by Google. Once your main page has been associated with your Google Plus account, you will be able to see your photo in search results in about a month.

Since it is relevant, I just want to share with you a hub giving an overview of Google Authorship here: http://hubpages.com/t/315b91

And Greekgeek tutorial is really helpful! It practically explores how you can get your Google Authorship.
