What is the meaning of the "a" at the bottom of the profile pictures here on Hub

    What is the meaning of the "a" at the bottom of the profile pictures here on Hubpages?

    I know the "e" is for elite and the "H" is for staff, but I've recently seen an "a" on the bottom left hand corner of profile pictures/avatars. I'm curious what it means.

    I believe that is for Individuals selected for the Hubpages apprenticeship program.

    Yes internpete is right, 'a' is for the Apprentices, those who started a six month course of on-line writting. You can get the details from the Hubpages learning center:

    The "a" on some people's profile means that they are a part of the Apprenticeship program here on HP. We are hoping that people will get curious about the program and want to find out more. An easy way to find out about the program and how you can become a part of it is to click the Apprenticeship link found under the persons name on their avatar.
