Is anyone else having trouble with the "suggest link" function on Hub Pages?

I am still having trouble after 2 months with afixing and changing links of "suggest links." It simply isn't working.

Sometimes it gets busy or there are sunspots, or something. I have weak wifi, and it takes it awhile to "light up" after I click it. Give it a minute or two and try again. If you click it twice before it goes hot it gets confused.

Who voted me down? I haven't had any problems with it (yesterday or today).Sure you can add links other ways, but   part of the idea of the feature is to recommend other hubbers hubs. Are you going to look up other's work on related topics? No.

it wasnt working at all yesterday for 'my hubs' searches - even though it would normally show 5 or more possibles - but it asccepted the urls for those hubs when i pasted them in

I've been having problems with them the past couple days. There is a different way to add links onto your page. When working with a hub section, you can hyperlink a selection of words if the suggest links button doesn't work.

I have been having the same problem for two months. I keep waiting for HubPages to fix it.

I am not having a problem. The suggest link can be tricky but just know that when yo begin the process you must manually highlight (as if to copy) a word or phrase and THEN it's will suggest a link.

Great point. Google Chrome has been weird for a few days as well. Maybe that's it.

that's how it worked in the past - last few days it couldnt find anything even when my hubs had the selected word in their title [i've not changed my IE browser]

I did highlight the words that should have brought my hub with those words in the title up. The only suggestions available were Amazon products. I did use Chrome, but I always use Chrome and it has worked fine in the past.

It's not working for me (using IE9 or Firefox) and I used to use it all the time.

I've been having a problem with it for weeks now.  It just constantly says it is "working" but nothing ever appears on the screen.  I was starting to wonder if it was just me.

I had the same problem this morning. Nothing appears at all so I´d just leave it.

Yes. I have sat for 15 minutes with the message box saying, "working". But it does not work.

The only way I can get a link in a Hub is by manually placing it.

Thanks for asking this question, I thought it was me.

I only used it once and the suggested articles were not very good suggestions, so I haven't used it since.  Though it might take longer, a better way to get hub suggestions is to use the following Google search phrase:

    "your keyword phrase here" site:hubpages.com

That will pull up hubs that have the phrase you are targeting, or you can leave the quotes off the broaden your search.  Google seems to find more relevant articles than the Hubpages link suggester.

I am! Maybe there is a glitch in the system right now.

something has changed - it used to work fine - select a word and click on suggest link and it would show related hubs - you could choose either 'my hubs' or hubs overall.

Yes. I tried to link to one of my hubs last night from a hub in process and there were no suggestions. There should have been. I had to insert the link manually.

Yes. I can't get it to work using IE9 or Firefox. This has been going on for many weeks now.

More than likely it must be issues with the website if you are using two different internet browsers. Users of google chrome, like me, have to heed caution because there may be issues with separate internet protection from your Norton and Chrome.

I reported this problem 6 days ago, here:  http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/100585

Apparently it's a problem with Internet Explorer, Firefox, as well as Chrome.

They're diligently working to fix it.  Hopefully soon!

Thanks for all your input. Yesterday, I saw someone had asked the same question a few days ago and someone recommended using a different browser. So, I used Mozilla Fox Fire and the suggest links DID work! Hurray! It's interesting that HubPages itself hasn't given an explanation for the problem. To those who have tried a different browser and still can't get the "suggest links" to work, I have no other suggestion. What else can a person do if he/she cannot get the suggest links to work? Any other suggestions?
