What do I need to do to be accepted into the apprentice program?

I filled out the form but was denied. What can I do to increase my chances?

Did they give a reason for the denial? I don't know the reasons why they would deny someone.

No. It was a generic email.

I do know they're backed up on applicants. I got an acceptance last month, but still don't know when I'll start the program yet. I'm hoping the first of September. I'd wait a while and try again or write them and ask for a reason so you can improve.

I was denied and told that I needed to write more often to show I am able to handle the rigorous writing schedule required by the program.
I had applied, hoping we had an option of when to begin the program - I had wanted to begin in September when my kids return to school and I'll have more time to devote writing.

Also - HP wants to see a higher percentage of my writing in the article format (like my toxins, healing, martial arts hubs).  While writing personal hubs is okay, the admin desires to see evidence of ability to consistently write SEO articles.

    Hope that helps. Best regards~

I was admitted to the Apprenticeship Program, and learned a little more about their criteria. The most important thing is an impressive portfolio of quality online writing material that is of the quality of professional articles. Read articles by top hubbers, keep writing better and better articles, focus on topics that can have a connection to commercial content (products or services), improve or remove your earlier hubs, and try again.

The idea is very simple - HubPages can't teach people to be better writers. That, we have to learn on our own. But HubPages can teach top online writers in how to become top online earners.

Thanks Sid. I just need to get motivated. I was hoping to get in for motivational purposes more than anything.

I applied a few weeks ago and heard nothing yet.  I'm hoping that is a good sign.  Maybe I'm still being considered.
