The most prominent "featured articles" that I am aware of are Hub of the Day. Authors are not compensated, nor do they pay to get featured this way, as the hubs are selected by staff. The only compensation is the increased traffic to the hub and recognition for the Hubber. Hubs that are labeled as "hot," "best" etc. change constantly, reflecting statistics of traffic, score etc. - there is no financial compensation involved.

Are we no longer allowed to curse in our articles on HubPages?I am going through editing old articles and it seems every time I am finished a bunch come up with the no-pay warning out of the blue.
