How often do you use twitter to promote your hubs

So far I've only used Twitter to promote a hub right after publishing it.  The rest of the time I use Twitter like most people do.  I think too much hub promotion will annoy followers, especially those that don't really know what HubPages is.

I agree so you may promote a hub every now and then?

I don't use twitter. Hate that website. Instead, Facebook is where I do social networking.

Well how do you use it to promote your hubs? How many times a day do you promote a hub?

I post links and say it was something interesting that I read. Though it normally isn't posted on my real facebook profile. Promoting hubs normally happens once or twice a week.

I post once after I create a hub and then occasionally post something in general about my hubpages site and joining it. But I try not to make it spammy.
Actually I had never even used twitter until I joined hubpages because I didn't like the site, but its not a bad place to get some viewers.

Thats what cactusbythesea said about not promoting it as much so it won't look so spammy.

Right, I would just do it every so often.

If it's on a trending topic or you use good hashtags, you can get some good traffic from there. However I don't use it that often.

I have my fb page auto update twitter but I really don't do it well as I rarely use hash tags and in 5 months of regular posting I have not had one visit.
