How long does it take for a hub to be approved once it has been submitted for publication?

I've got a couple of hubs I submitted for publication yesterday and I'm still waiting for approval. I checked and double checked to make sure they comply with the TOS. Anyone experiencing a similar problem?

    Dear Nesbyte,
I also have noticed this many times. However, I have seen a pattern in it. When a new hubber starts writing, they usually publish it almost immediately (even if there are small typos and other small problems). When one writes something without ebays and amazon capsules, then also the hubs get published quickly compared to those with it. Its not just about the number of links, but also about the types of ads that is coming up. Again, I have also noticed that it takes disproportionately longer time when you try to republish your hubs after editing those. I have also noticed that it takes some time (can be upto 3 days) when you submit your hubs on weekends.

Thanks for the info. Relatively new to this so I hadn't noticed a pattern. Point about publishing at the weekend might be key here, since that's exactly what I did. I know they don't have a lot of staff at Hubpages, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

Mine are usually published immediately.  Be sure that you are not still in edit mode when you are ready to publish.  Look at the top of the page.

Okay, I always click "Submit for publication" when I'm done editing. I don't have an option to publish immediately. What do I do to get that option?

I've never had this problem yet. All my hubs are published as soon as I press the Publish button.

Same here, after editing the hub, as soon as I press the publish button, I am told that I have published another hub and all the information about the new hub is immediately seen in my profile and hubtivity.

@purnimamoh1982 Yes, thanks for asking. It took 3 days in the end, though a hub I published in the interim only took 10 minutes. You must be right about it taking longer if you publish at the weekend.
