I was asked to join a darts team a few weeks ago, as they had to make up numbers. I reluctantly agreed to keep the team going. I had not played darts before and didn't think i would be any good.
However our team won last night and I even got the double to win one of our games!
Has anyone else discovered an unexpected skill or talent that they never knew they had.
wow congrats!
sometime ago I went to a karaoke bar and then they forced me to sing i belted out a song and after i sang. they like standing ovation I was so embarrased, but i smile because I could sing indeed!
Thanks prettydarkhorse, I am still in shock! Karaoke, thats so cool, great job.
Keep playing and you'll soon see how addictive, frustrating, and fun it can be. Don't let beginners luck go to your head. The darts will know.
LOL OMG, I had not thought of that! It is fun and I have a highly addictive personality, so I imagine I will be buying a board before the year is out.
Good for YOU!!!! Wait till you get your first hat trick....you will be thrilled. I've been an avid shooter for over 20 years and I know the thrill you feel. Good Job, and keep going.
Wow, well done. You never know until you try.
I attended a Personal Life Coach Training Course, all Last weekend - with the aim of Coaching Youth later on in life. In one of the activities, my partner in the workshop had to give me feedback through the interactivity we had.
The feedback she gave, highlighted a few skills which I didn't know I had and I was quite touched. I'd feel like I was blowing my Trumpet if I wrote them - but in answer to your question. "I have".
WOW! I'm feeling underachieved. LOL Congrats to both of you!
Thanks V much. Underachieved the rope? not so!
Bumping this back to the "All" tab in forums. Seems to have been stuck in my "Your" tab.
You will find that you have to check yourself on a regular basis!
When you become addicted... you tend to see others (their faces, backsides and backs) as potential targets for making a bullseye
That sounds like the voice of experience.
I'm suitably impressed, thats way cooler then darts.
I have shot a gun only a handful of times in my life, but I can hit near or on the bullseye every time.
Well then consider yourself OUT of My Black Book!
Every morning when I look in the mirror... All I see is a damn bullseye on my forehead!
Wow, thats difficult, a gun has such power.
my unexpected talent....if you want to call it that....is writing.
Several years ago, I discovered I could write. I kept getting frustrated with lyricists words and finally started writing my own, and actually had a 1 act play produced at university. But more recently, having been single for several years, I found that cooking can actually be fun, and I apparently have a knack for "improving" recipes. I had no idea about this.
Mind you, I don't really care to cook much. I think most of the time it's a bother. Especially clean up, but I find myself going into kitchen and cooking stores and buying a new better quality piece of cookery or something just so I can have what I want when I entertain.
Very odd, really. I like it and don't like it. I guess it's a once-in-a-while thing for me.
Hopeless at sports but great at Wii tennis and bowling
I didn't expect to be a writer, but I find myself driven to this, and now I want to really increase my skills. A pleasant surprise, actually.
All right wren you throw' em darts...just don't hit anyone just kidding. Good for you. I hope you have tons of fun with your new talent
And yes the whole engraving art is my unexpected talent
I always said I would never go into business. I didn't think I'd be good at it. 16 years ago I fell into running a small business, a bed and breakfast. Turns out I'm pretty good at it. Who knew?
i am really good at ping-pong.
Forrest Gump good.
i also have other skills but, this being a g-rated forum...
I usually shy away from social situations, and yet I always seem to give the right advice to people when they need it.
I just tried a snow boarding game for the Wii with the fit board and did real well...

Can't wait til the month's up, and I know I shouldn't start celebrating until the checks are in the post, but that won't be for weeks, and I am far too excited. 90% on Amazon, 10% from Google, but together they have tipped me over $1000 for the month. Grinning like a Cheshire cat.Hoping this will...

With the event of me approaching 1 million hub views in a few days or so, this gives me the chance to reflect back and see what I did to increase my traffic and revenues through Hubpages. What really started the ball rolling was the very first Hubchallenge back in May 2009 and I've since done 4 or 5...
