      I'm curious, did anyone else think this was just a clever, backdoor scheme to get people to come look at her hub and hubpage?
      
      Clever, but sneaky.  Anyone else who self promotes themselves, would just get banned.  So I'm wondering, why is lyrics so special?

         I doubt that the hub would earn her any money, its not really set up to earn, so I dont have an issue with that. The only issue is the free backlink, which Maddie has rectified.... I did the same kind of thing with my 'Hubbers on Twitter directory' and '50 great hubs chosen by 50 great hubbers'.

         Clever is the word you are referring to?  Polls are seldom clever and mostly quite mundane, however it is one of my lowest scoring hubs given the lack of creative content as I had expected given my intention was not to be as you say sneakily.
         
         I can't help but wonder why this bothers you so much and is you participate with everyone else.
         
         As to what makes me special is the exact opposite of what you name call at me.  I am not sneaky nor is this self promotion and I worked very hard on it curious myself at the views and opinions of other hubbers.
         
         What causes your sarcasm at  a low scoring hub that asks 10 questions , simple to answer that gratefully had a good response in voting.  Because I believe people do care not because I was sneaky in promoting this.
         
         Do not, in my forum, suggest hubbers are not smart enough to see a scheme if this was one nor suggest they would waste their time if they didn't care.
         
         Back to my point, did you vote or do you care more about the score I will get and traffic versus the actual issues at hand.  Do not suggest again to me anything other than what everyone else clearly is aware which was a poll of opinions for hubbers, by hubbers to hubbers
         
         How very sad for you.

   self promotion? I guess but given my score is 48 with 49 page views already it's not the kinda Hub that's well recognized.  Primarily because there is no copy just polls which aren't accounted for.  I truly am curious about these answers.

      I couldn't agree more with this! I could write hundreds and hundreds of hubs if music capsules were available. Not everything we need or listen to is a youtube video.

    First of all, there's nothing wrong with a little self-promotion, in my view, although I didn't see your hub that way.  I found it a very scientific poll followed by an accurate tallying of the resulting numbers. 
    What better way to improve HP than that, I ask!
    Perhaps the folks in San Francisco will take a look-you are a tireless worker around here, and it shows.

    I am currently doing the poll lyricsingray, very well thought out options. I do have a couple of points to make though.....
    
    - Question 9 is impossible to answer. My busiest traffic time is evening in the UK, which is morning in Australia, and the middle of day in western America. This question is impossible to analyse, without the use of a set specific timezone e.g. GMT+1 or GMT-8 or something.
    
    - Question 8 misses the biggest issue in my eyes, which is diversification of Affiliate options. I would like the site to explore other possibilities including Clickbank, Commissions Junction, etc etc. Especially considering the failings of Kontera and the difficulties in obtaining an Ebay affiliate account.
