How does Hubpages calculate your profile score and your Hub score?

My profile score and Hub score just go up and down randomly whenever I check them. I’ve heard that Hub score is calculated by traffic. Is it true? Is traffic the only factor? How about profile score? Someone please help me answer this question!!! Thanks

Seriously, I don't know. I know it is influenced by your hub quality, comments, feedback, back links may be.
May be it is similar as Google page rank algorithm. It is secret smile

HubScore takes into account many factors and will change over time as data continues to stream in. It will also fluctuate quite a bit, seemingly at random, and that is nothing to worry about. The most important HubScore components that you should be

Hub Scores are calculated by the quality of the work in the hub. Typos, misspellings and bad grammar detract. When you add pictures, videos, and use different text boxes to break up the text into easy reading sections, the score goes up,. If you take a couple of days to write it, they figure you did a better job. Usually, I let mine sit for 24 hours after I finish it and then edit for errors. This will get the score up another 10 points or so before publishing. Then it will go up and down by the number of visitors and their interaction on your hub. Voting and comments figure in there.
The Hubber score is a combination. They average the hub scores and then figure your interactions in the HubPages community. Commenting, reading, answering comments, asking and answering questions, HubHopping, participating in forums, all figure into the equation. The more time you spend, the higher your Hubber score will be. If you do not care for a section, (example; forums) don't worry about participating. You can still get a perfect score. That will not last, and rarely does it last for more than a day or two.
Enjoy your time on HubPages and don't worry about the scores, just write quality articles. Let the scores worry about themselves. Most of us that have been here very long, don't really worry about them except to make sure the beginning hubscore is as high as we can get them. That is the most important thing.

Thanks! Your answer helped me a lot. I'm working on a new Hub right now. I hope my Hubber score will be as high as you some day.
