How do you get to 50 hubs?

I'm at 28 right now and am lacking motivation.  Any ideas on how to jump start?

Look around you for inspiration. You know SO much. Think about your favourite foods, drinks, TV shows, kids, how you've solved problems, home decorating or renovating, favourite items....

There are several hubs about how to conquer writer's block. Maybe reading them will help.

If I were you, I would take a look at the 28 I have, and see what kinds of unanswered questions I can fill.  Check the statistics to see what keywords people are using to find your hubs.  I had written a hub about genealogy, and someone had used "genealogy questions" to find my hub. I knew that hub didn't get them what they wanted, so I wrote one that would!

Look at your hubs that are doing the best, traffic wise, and write more about that topic.

Otherwise, just think about what you do day to day, and things you want to learn about.  There is always something going on in my life that is hub worthy!

What has worked best for me is to set a goal. If you are at 28 right now, and you want to get to 50, that means you still have 22 more to go. Set a challenge, and ask other hubbers, or at least one other hubber to join you. It could be 22 hubs in 22 days, or 22 hubs in 30 days, etc. Then go for it. Before you actually start, you may want to take a few days to come up with titles to by the time you start, you've got some things lined up. Also, take a look at pictures you have that you could use as a topic for a hub. sometimes just looking at pictures you already have at your disposal will trigger an idea for a hub.  I have always found when I set a challenge for myself, and give it a time limit, I usually rise to the challenge and reach my goal.Good luck!

Here is a link to a Hub (poem) on my feed.  Maybe it will help you get through writer's block.

50 was the last goal I set too and I'm currently at 49...

I keep a small note book with different thing written in it that I intend to do. I currently have a list in there for 17 potential hubs. From that list, 10 will probably get written. Some may get merged with others. Some may not get written at all. Other may get broken into more specific subjects. As I work my way through the list I'll likely revise it by adding more stuff. Since putting the list together I've written three hubs that aren't even on the list.

One of the things I do is I look at what I'm doing or what I've done recently. If I've traveled to some place I might write a hub about it. Two of my recent hubs came from emails in which someone asked me questions concerning a hub I wrote months ago.

You could look at the hubs you've already written and try to think of something that could complement one of them. Judging from the fact that you have about six ESL hubs you've done a bit of this already. This is good. Linguistics is your biggest group. In each of the other groups it looks like you only have two hubs. Try adding more to the other groups. Something I've noticed with my hubs and have read in others is that groups with two or three hubs don't do as well as the ones with more. Give us some more cooking lessons.
