Hubpages Referral Trackers:Is there any reason not to include them?

    Hubpages Referral Trackers:Is there any reason not to include them?

    Only just started thinking about this.Is there any reason why I should not embed referral trackers in any external links I place or have placed pointing to my hubs?Should I go and edit links i've place elsewhere to my hubs to now include a referral tracker?Is there a downside apart from the time taken to make these edits?

    There's absolutely no reason not to.  I use them every time I link to a hubpages article, whether it's my own or somebody else's.  It might be too tedious to edit the all links you've already created without referral trackers, so start with the hubs that get the most traffic first. Just be mindful to start including them from now on.

      Thanks for confirming this for me.I knew you could get a % cut for people who signed up through a link with of yours but only just discovered you could get a small % for impressions made just by referred traffic even if no-one signs up.

    You should put referral trackers in every single link.  First these links can help you earn extra money.  You do not know when somebody is going to click on your link, sign up, and start writing.  Secondly, these referral links work well for helping you collect data about your traffic.

    I have different referral links for different categories.  Every time I post an article on Facebook I use a referral link called "fbtoken".  Every time I share a link on Google Plus I use a token called "plus1".  This lets me keep track of how effective my article marketing is.  I hope this helps.
