Do you ever feel conceded?
There are times when we all feel proud of ourselves (at least I hope we all do)... but have you ever found yourself feeling too proud to the point of conceded? Cocky, overly confident, or just downright having an episode of narcissism?
Like "Oh my gosh, I'm such an awesome writer... why hasn't anyone commented on my hub yet? I know it's awesome, where's my praise and adoration from my hundreds of adoring fans?"
I've done it a few times without realizing it until I look back at how I talked, what I said and how I acted. I don't like the feeling. Being confident is one thing, but conceded is believing you are better than others.
Momkat, the word you're looking for is "conceited," not "conceded." To concede means to agree that something is true. You might want to edit your title. Feel free to delete my comment if you fix the error, no hard feelings.
NOoooooo! not Meeeee1 . Yes of coarse I have , and then I read someone elses words of encouragement and become humbled by such beauty ,.........take your words for instance !.......:-}
