Have you ever felt a strong conviction in your life? That you feel like your going out of your mind.

I have heard the word conviction but never really felt what it meant until 2013. It was a strong conviction from GOD . It was one of the worst feeling I have ever had in my life. It's un-explainable you get this piercing pain, you cold sweat, you feel like your going  off your rockers. You know how you feel when you get a heartbreak well it's 10 times worst than that. God wanted me to STOP and make an about turn. Its like I am calling you NOW. Hearken unto me or you'll have trouble. Had I not answer the second time I felt convicted I don't know where would I have been.

yes I have.  It's absolutely gut-wrenching.  The mental anguish is enough to melt butter. I have learned over the years that time, meditation, self-awareness, honesty with one's self, desire to do good can help to simmer the boiling pot that is burning within your soul.  You than have a chance to re-invent yourself, upon which...you can spend your days calmly rocking in your chair of reflection rather than break apart at the seams.

p.s. Jesus can call me anytime.  I would LOVE to hear from him.

Yes I have, it was a dreadful feeling.  I knew the word of God and I believed but I wasn't saved.  There was a horrific fear of dying in my sins and trespasses and going to hell.  The word of God has it said in Heb. 4:12 is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
That was what happened to me during the time I was being convicted.  I had no peace and it was mental anguish each day.

I could not have stayed away from my conviction and not surrendered all to Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior.

The word of God tells us whom the Lord loveth He chaseth. Heb 12:6.  Being convicted was one way He spoke to my heart .

I am one of His precious jewels and so are you if you accept Him as Lord and Savior.

When He cometh, when He cometh
    To make up His jewels
    All His jewels, precious jewels
    His loved and His own.
Like the stars of the morning
    His brightness adorning,
They shall shine in their beauty
    Bright gems for His crown.
He will gather, He will gather
    The gems for His kingdom
All the pure ones, all the bright ones
    His loved and His own.
    Little children, little children,
    Who love their Redeemer,
    Are the jewels, precious jewels
    His loved and His own

If you haven't experienced conviction then you won't know and understand what it feels like.
God bless you.  Thanks for the question @LadyFiddler
