Today is International Mens Day and World Day of Philosophy!
Just for one second stop bickering and drink a toast to all the men out there!
And those of you who love to voice your philosophy on life. Here's to you !
CHEERS CHEERS and CHEERS to ALL THE MEN out there.....
Why does this remind me of a certain classic Monty Python skit?
I'm not a lumberjack and I'm still ok.
And Immanuel Kant WAS a real pissant.
But last night I think I outconsumed David Hume!
But seriously, though, as a 'man' and as a self-described philosopher and instigator of overly thorough debate, all I'd like to say is, "Cheers, ladies!"
Cheers to all true men out there - you know we love you and can't live without you
I raise my glass of Diet V-8 Splash to all the good men out there!
Is this an invitation to get sloshed at 2 PM?
Aw, what the hay, I have nothing better to do!
I raise my glass *clink*
Pleasure Cagsil - there were really no hidden agendas with the posting of this thread. That's not my style.
Funny, I thought men had already had their day? and as for philosophy - bull crap I say - what we need is some good plain talking women who want to take over the world.
Interesting view. How ever, it's extremely narrow-minded and a bit sexist, to say the least.
The problem isn't that we need "women" to take over, we(all people) need to change our views or perceptions about what the meaning of life really means to each individual person.
Such as, yourself. You think philosophy is 'bull crap', as you so elegantly put it- is all about understanding the mind. And, if you're unable to understand your own mind, then how the hell are you suppose to create your own purpose or even understand your own existence?
Your words and tone in your words, is a direct problem with many of the problems, that undermine our society as a whole.
How is that for philosophy? I hope you learned something.
Are you thinking Sarah Palin, by any chance?
If a person can fix me a mean drink, I'll toast you either way!!!
To all those wonderful men and may they continue to love us women! Cheers!
