Hub of the Day?
What is the process a hub is chosen for Hub of the Day? I wrote a great hub (at least in my opinion) about our summer trip and I expected to see it as Hub of the Day. It didn't happen and I want to understand the process...
The Hub of the Day is chosen at random by HP staff members, so getting it basically comes down to dumb luck.
This might help, it's from the learning center:
Good luck and keep writing!
The Hub of the Day is generally a high quality hub that meets all of the criteria in the link renegadetory posted. It's written well, has at least one legally attributed photo, 500 words or more, and makes good use of the various capsules. It's also of general interest. Unless your hub about your summer trip had advice for the general public, it may not be of general interest (not to say that it wasn't a good hub, though!).
Since you just published it, it may not have been seen yet by those who choose the HOTD. Give it time; it is a beautiful hub, and it might catch someone's eye!

My first two hubs were selected for Hub Pro. Why were they chosen?I'm seeing in some places that it is a good thing it was chosen but I'm not sure why that would be?

For the last two months I have been monitoring hubs that are awarded HOTD and several things puzzles me..Most of the hubs chosen have been written well over two or three years ago, some of them barely get any traffic...
