Hi All,
For my 100th hub (yes I know that I only have 62, but my 100th hub is only about 4-6 weeks away!)....
I will be featuring 100 hubs, chosen by 100 different hubbers, with upto 50 words by each explaining why they chose that hub.
Please get involved people, you will each be getting a link to your profile, and your chosen favourite hub will get a link too - so you will be helping out another hubber.
This is a win, win, win situation! I need:-
- The link to your favourite hub (on this thread, please do not send me emails). Obviously this can not be your own hub people!
- 50 words max explaining why that is your favourite hub (So keep it concise, 50 x 100 = 5000 words - plenty enough, if not too much!).
I will start. My favourite hub is:-
http://hubpages.com/hub/George-Best-The … elfast-Boy (By BadCompany)
Reason:-
This hub was one of the first I read on hubpages a couple of months ago, it inspired me to write a tribute to my own favourite ever player Zinedine Zidane. (30 Words)
REMEMBER NO MORE THAN 50 WORDS PLEASE GUYS!!!
Cheers for picking that Hub Ryan because it's also my fav Hub that I have written mainly because of my love of the Legend that was George Best !
Just to add everybody..... please select just 1 hub each, and do not pick one that somebody else has chosen
DAMN!!!!!! So I have to read the whole thing? Ill come back tomorow if thats ok, so I have more time to see if someone else voted for my fav. hub...so, what do I do if someone else did vote for my fav? can I just ..":quote" the reponse and say, me too? or how else are you gunna knwo what gets the most votes? This is a cool idea btw.
For me this Hub about earning money on Hubpages by the lovely and fantastic Wordplay changed how I write hubs, for me a total masterpiece.
http://hubpages.com/hub/make-money-writing-hubs
Hi Ryan. This is a very interesting hub topic. I'd like to recommend this hub by guidebaba -
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-I-earn-500- … -from-home
I chose this hub because it was also the first hub I read and commented on when I first came to Hubpages. It's quite a comprehensive list with a lot of links, giving the reader a lot of options on how he or she can earn online. Hope this makes it to your top 100 hubs.
The first 100 links will make the hub, as long as they are not repeated.... Im not going to choose them, you lot are .... so your hub selection will be the 3rd on the list.... First come first serve
my bad! I'm not following instructions! Sorry about that. Here's my under-30-words reason .
"This hub has quite a comprehensive list with a lot of links, giving the reader a lot of options on how he or she can earn online."
Gosh hard choice , some many fav's from this ladies collection alone.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Invasive-Job-Ap … en-to-Punt
Unemployment was a big issue for us a few months back ,hence my question ,born out of frustration.
PGrundy responded with the above Hub tells it like it is, and explains the nonsense with factual experiences, validating and offering hope at the same time.
Great idea Ryan -all the best with your endeavours!
Are you sure about the 50 words? That will be like a 5,000-word hub, quite a long one. It will be quite interesting. I'm already looking forward to reading it .
Here's my 50 words. I just edited it so that you can easily copy and paste it. Good luck with the hub!
"I chose this hub because it was also the first hub I read and commented on when I first came to Hubpages. It's quite a comprehensive list with a lot of links, giving the reader a lot of options on how he or she can earn online."
I can change mine , to one sentence, might work better ,or you can edit Ryan...Gotta have you do some work lol j/k
I guess that I will probably split the hub into two... so 'part 1' and 'part 2' and link very clearly between the two...
I will work that out when I get to it
Are there really only 4 people with anything good to say about somebody elses hub
Come on people, I have the first 4 already on the hub.... I just need another 96 of you!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-Its-Great-to-be-Asian
This ones my favorite (today), I went out with an Asian girl a few years back and this so reminded me of her and her family (in a good way). You know you're Asian when...
* Good luck with the hub, sounds like a good idea.
My favorite hub:
http://hubpages.com/hub/England-Great-B … t-all-mean (By compu-smart)
"I love compu-smart's celebrity birthday hubs and blogs, but I've always been confused about England, Great Britain and the UK -- and this fascinating and well laid-out hub has cleared up all the confusion."
My favorite hub:
(Please Don't snub on a hub)
http://hubpages.com/hub/Please-Dont-Snub-on-a-Hub(ManlyPoetryMan)
it is whimsical, funny and original only someone with very creative talent could write something so enlightening.
What a fabulous idea Ryan.
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Mysterious- … -Amazoncom
This hub written by Jimmy the Jock is an oldy but my absolute favorite...I'm of the opinion that everyone should read it as its just too funny.
Thanks guys!
Keep them coming hubbers.... first come first serve, so next 90 odd get their say!
8 Down..... 92 great hubs to find....
with 88000+ members of hubpages, and 400000+ hubpages, surely there must be more than 8 good hubs?
Not only is this an example of a beautifully put together hub, it is a lovely homage to a bygone era. Janetta, a master of her craft, weaves the words perfectly - simple yet deep.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-I-Love-Old-Hollywood
ps - I cannot believe how incredibly hard it was to narrow it to one!! So many great hubs n hubbers out there! Great idea, btw.
I really like Ripplemakers hubs.. hard for me to choose one becuase they are all so positive and inspirational
but I choose
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-Can-You-Mak … -Beautiful
Hi Ms Chievous.
Would you mind just adding a few more words to that? I have:
"I really like Ripplemakers hubs.. hard for me to choose one because they are all so positive and inspirational"
Could we have something like:-
"I really like Ripplemakers hubs.. hard for me to choose one becuase they are all so positive and inspirational, but I chose this one because *Insert here*"
Its just that the category title will show (well, already shows) the title of the hub, and your review comes directly below.
Sorry to be a pain, thanks....
(By the way, anybody can change their reason/review once it is published).
I now have 10 hubs..... and Im going to leave this now for a while, in the hope that I come back to another 10 or so!
Cheers to everybody that has helped kick this off.
This hub by Snozbery26 is short, easy-to-read, and down right, laugh out loud funny! Any one who loves animals will love this hub just as much.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Vet-Office-One-Liners
Hey - a forum topic that's actually interesting
Here's my favorite:
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Best-Online … ity-For-Me (by John Z)
I love this hub because it's a tongue in cheek look at what most of us would really like to do to make money online.
My favourite hub:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Be-A-Tourist-In-Your-Own-Town
"This hub, about exploring your own area, is witty, amusing, and also thoughtful. An unbeatable combination."
Hi Ryan,
A great idea
I love this one:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Katherine-Swynf … of-royalty
"Picking just one of Londongirl's history Hubs is difficult - they are all meticulously researched and her elegant writing style makes reading a joy. I picked this Hub because it has a connection with my hometown."
I had to choose something from PearlDiver:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Create-I … r-Lifetime
I love this hub because it's very well written, it's down to earth and honest, but most of all because it's got soul. You can feel the presence of PearlDiver in each word, sentence and paragraph. Most humbling!
Thanks for your submissions guys..... keep them coming hubbers!
there are some wonderful poets on here but I do not know how to do a link can you try to tell me how to do a link and i will post my fave poem on here of all time....
'k. I think...go to the poage of the poem you love, up at the top is the address, use your mouse, right click on it,it should turn all one color, then click on copy. then come on over here, and click the normal way, "post a reply," then right click again and click paste. that should put the link there. Hope that made sense?
http://hubpages.com/hub/15-Things-that- … -With-Them not sure if anyone has posted this but here goes....I chose this because the day I read it was a bad bad day for me, and it made me laugh.
http://hubpages.com/hub/like-a-flower
hoorah can't believe i did that ..... wow
I just love everything written by Cris A, i mean everything, this poem may not be his best, but i love it any way..... so will you, it speaks on so many levels, using a flower to complete the task for him.....
Thanks everybody..... not sure how many I have now, but I still need around 70..... so keep'em a comin'
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-I-got-my-hu … first-page by Mark Knowles
This hub has been more help to me than any other hub I have read on the subject. It's to the point, as Mark often is.
Following the advice from this hub has gotten several of my hubs to the first page of Google.
http://hubpages.com/hub/cornered
As a Poet myself this Poem is the best ever written on Hubpages by the amazing Am I Dead Yet !
Plenty.... but many thanks for bumping this, as I was just about to do it myself
In fairness..... I have a few weeks until my 100th hub, when I will publish, but getting them done as I go is only going to be a bonus...
So roll up people, have your say!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Making-Money-On … t-hubpages
As a marketer this man tells it how it is but still provides the best information
Here's another hub I just discovered a day ago:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Wear-High-Heels
And here's my reason:
"This hub by Princessa has great tips on how to wear high heels. Even if I don’t usually wear them, after reading this hub, I’m tempted to go out, buy and wear a pair of high-heeled shoes. Great photos of beautiful shoes, too."
Sorry only 1 hub to be chosen by each hubber emievil.... if not it wont be "100 great hubs chosen by 100 great hubbers", it would be "100 great hubs chosen by 99 great hubbers", which doesnt really have the same ring
Its one or the other.... I can swap out your first choice, but that isn't very nice on the hubber that you have already chosen?
LOL. I forgot the rules again. *sigh* maybe I can get another hubber to put in the second one . Yup you're right about being unfair to my first choice, so I'll retain the first one. Thanks Ryan.
Unless you have an alter-ego?
A certain BC and CG have both contributed
LOL this is one of those times I wish I have alter-egos. But then I can't even handle building up my one and only hubpage, how much more if I create another hubpage . I'll go crazy!
Most of my favorite hubs are about hubpages... let me know if you want links. I can't limit it to just one though, but if I have to choose, I think I know which one I liked the most. Let me know if I can recommend more than one and then I'll be back with the link(s)
Thats hilarious.... I was just working on this hub, and was just about to bump it (again)....
Sorry belief713, you are going to have to choose just one to recommend.... I know that its very hard, as there are so many great hubs, but if you recommended more than one then it wouldnt be '100 Great Hubs Chosen By 100 Great Hubbers', as I would have to call it '100 Great Hubs Chosen By 99 Great Hubbers'
I guess that you have a hard decision to make
pgrundy is my favorite Hubber, here's one of her best: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Mon … ing-Online "How To Make Money Writing Online."
Pam writes about frugal living, social issues, freelancing, self employment and paranormal phenomena. She's a professional with a great voice, pure entertainment and practical nuts-and-bolts knowhow.
There's my 50 words about pgrundy! I hope folks follow her back to find all of her 200+ great Hubs.
I just like this. Written by a friend of mine and many others here. Maybe you remember him? Also known as goldentoad.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Seriuos-subjekts-Hell-Yeah
My #1, Wordplay's "make money writing hubs", is my favorite but already has a vote, so I'm voting for Sandra Rinck's Backlinking for Dummies hub - http://hubpages.com/hub/Hubpages-backli … or-Dummies
Being a newbie, this was my first introduction to backlinking and what it even meant. This hub is very informative and easy to understand, well written.
Thank you very much for the people that have just submitted their choices, I have put them all on the hub already
I now have 23 hubs, and I am 2 away from completing part 1 of 4.... (I am going to split it over 4 hubs, 25 per hub, as it takes more space than I first imagined).
So if I could get two more tonight then that would be fantastic.....
Great idea ryankett! It took me an age to choose cause there are just so many great hubs!
Eventually I decided on this http://hubpages.com/hub/Hub-pages-Traffic-Secrets
Although this is a lengthy hub it needed to be, as It explains everything you need or want to know about hubpages and how the system works. It was a great read, funny in places and packed full of great information. 10/10 to Jerrico Usher.
Nice of you to do this Ryan.
I nominate Mark Knowles' hub http://hubpages.com/hub/Making-Money-On … t-hubpages
I found this hub to be very concise and it has helped me tremendously. I keep referring back to it when I need a little extra motivation.
Ok - how about this one by Sunstreeks...
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Get-More … n-Hubpages
This hub has lots of good info about how to maximize your earning potential with Amazon.
Okay, many of my favorite hubs (hubpages) are here already. I'd like to nominate a very funny one from Ivanajohn:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-make-150 … -Yesterday
Here's my description:
"Getting all crazy trying to figure out how to build those numbers up in your Google Adsense report? Don’t you sometimes wish you can see some big numbers in it, if only for a while? Your wish can come true! Just remember, you asked for it!"
Hi Ryan. One of my favorite hubbers is Shadesbreath. This one he did illustrations AND an original story and its hysterical:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Vlad-the-Inhaler
Shades also turned me on the this excellent advice for first time novelists:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Three-Steps-to- … ed-problem
Paraglider spoke for many of us in this one:
http://hubpages.com/hub/bloodless-revolution
And also this one:
http://hubpages.com/hub/passionately-moderate
looks like you didnt get my email reply in time, sorry.
Unfortunately I can only allow 1 hub per hubber, because the hubs are called '100 great hubs chosen by 100 great hubbers'...... if I allowed you to have 4, I would have to call it '100 great hubs chosen by 96 great hubbers'.... and that would sound a bit crap
I know that its really hard to choose just one, but afraid your gonna have to
Each hub gets its own text box, so the hubber that chooses it needs to write a line or two about why they chose it (up to 50 words).
Sorry to be a pain, just trying to get it perfect
May I have the honor to nominate for something which is a diamond in the rough... and I hope, I can take part in this forum hehehe.
Most of the choices given by my fellow bloggers are indeed a cut above the rest and most of them are very popular and brilliant. But I'm more of appreciative with knowledge-based hub, something which is very useful:
http://hubpages.com/hub/USEFUL-PROVERBS … NYTPARAGAS
The author of this hub is in hiatus right now with hubpages but plans to make a comeback.
Sorry ryan for my very conservative and very humble pick...
Thanks for your selection....
Like I have said GeneralHowitzer, this is your playground. Every one of the first 100 hubs to be nominated by hubbers get chosen for the list.... I have no influence on peoples selection whatsoever.... I wanted to make this a community thing.
But..... you need to write upto 50 words that you would like to be given as your reason for picking / a tribute to the hub. I am quoting each hubber under their selection, and providing the hubbers with a link to their profile.
So get me the 50 words and I will put you straight into the hub now
Thanks ryan. This is a tribute to my second bestfriend ever, a colleague, brother and bestfriend.
Kudos in advance to your 100th hub...and thanks too...
Here's the tribute and its consists of 45 words way below the 50 cap.
This hub really overwhelmed and humbled me, although I took his hubs lightly at first, I soon realized that after reading it my knowledge I accumulated was so little. This hub was made by Sir Rony Paragas a Minister, sincere friend and a good brother.

http://hubpages.com/hub/Easy-Coupons-an … -Discounts
I love to save money!
If I had to pick a favorite, I don't think I could--there are so many wonderful hubs here!
I picked this one, because it was a fitting(and funny) tribute to a hubber who most around here knew and loved....goldentoad aka/raiderfan. Tom wrote it and put it on the night GT left, and, in Tom's unique style, he made it his farewell hub to goldentoad...
http://hubpages.com/hub/Ode-to-Toad
(I hope it's okay to add this one--I know I'm a litle biased here, lol)
Tammy
@ryankett - Ok, well since I have to choose one, I'd have to say one of my favorites is HubPages for Dummies A to Z - Part 1
I loved how creative freelanceworld was when he crafted that Hub - I believe it even made a newsletter. But you could tell he really put a lot of work into it from layout to content.
Many thanks belief713 and GeneralHowitzer.
I now have 29 submitted hubs, and another 5 promised by individuals that I will be chasing up
That leaves lots and lots to get, but dont worry.... I will be getting on peoples backs!

Janderson just submitted some great suggestions on this thread:http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/126313#post2666393and I think this one deserves a suggestion post on its own. We're always being told to be discriminating with our Amazon capsules - less is more, they must be directly related, etc...

Awhile back we were advised to remove all ads except for two or HP would come by later and do it for us. I dutifully removed all of my "extras", but am now continually seeing articles, some of them fairly new, with many, many ads. When I place ads on my hubs, I am...

Is there a balance of Amazon products on a page that makes a hub overly promotional? Or is it dependent on the individual hub (over and beyond the 50 words per product)?
by Audrey Hunt 11 years ago
I've been here almost 3 yrs and would like an honest evaluation of some of my hubs. I'm concerned about my low hubscore. I continually study hubs at the learning center, participate in forums, comment on hubs, re-title and revise hubs, and have reached over 300,000 page views. I...

I have been going through my current hubs, one by one, adding 50+ words of description to my Amazon links, per the recent corporate directive. As I read new hubs by fellow hubbers, most of them still do not have descriptions with their many product links. Am I correct in that those who do not include...

For some unspecified reason, HubPages has chosen not to feature what I believe to be one of the bestHubs I have written. After learning that HubPages was not going to feature it without editing, I added a poll to see if that would do the trick. No success. It really would be nice if the...
