I don't have a mentor, but my dad got me interested in hubpages.  He is also the one I go to if I want an article read over for grammatical errors and to see if it all makes sense.

Yes i do have a mentor on hubpages. It is every hubber that takes time out of the day to do something they enjoy. I am inspired by many people every time I'm on here and it brightens my day.

Same here.Everyday I discover more and more new people are are supportive informative and a breath of fresh air. But there is one in particular who has always helped me understand hubpages more.. He does this unknowingly and i respect him for that

Not in the strictest sense of the word but definitely, yes, there are veteran hubbers who were very kind and helpful to me when I first joined, giving me pointers and encouragement. Some offered help anytime, even giving email addresses. Every encounter with a hubber who helps is valuable. Posting in the forums is the best way to receive mentoring. Hubbers are very generous with helping you. Just ask. The welcomers are also very good mentors (they have a "hi" on their pic/avatar).

That is very true, i have actually learned more from fellow hubbers than from the learning centre. I luv the community here on hubpages. Like now I have just learned that we have welcomers on HP, who knew? Thanks

Yes. I've officially had two terrific mentors as part of the apprenticeship program. But as many have said so well, there have been lots of people with great comments that help me learn to write better! I always appreciate when someone takes time to read one of my hubs.

Yes, having just finished the apprentice program, and she was and is excellent. But your always mentor is the forums and questions. Ask and you will be answered. Also, read the learning center.

I didn't, but I wish I had. It takes quite a while to learn the ropes. There are still things I don't understand.

Tell me about it. At first I used to bury my head into the learning center modules and it started feeling like college all over again when yor studying for that exam. But once I discovered forum, its been easier and faster to learn new things through

I've read through Hubs and picked my "secret" mentors. They're my mentors, but don't know it...yet. big_smile  My "secret mentors" are  Billybuc because he's been on here a while and offers good advice; Peggy W because I love her travel Hubs and she's in my region, and Randomcreative because I also enjoy creative endeavors! The great thing about HubPages is that the writers are willing to help newbies get started! There are lots of mentors to choose from!

I agree with that, I also got a secret mentor, JThompson...he has always been there guiding and advising me since day one. I believe its great to have someone to look up to.

No, I don't really have a mentor on HubPages, but I do read other hubs and in the process learn more from more veteran hubbers. Some even leave valuable comments on my hubs. I only spend a limited time on the forum, but I guess it helps to know more hubbers too. I'd like to work on adding more hubs too.

Sure thing Rosyel, we all depend on the experience of the veterans to guide us through.

No I don't have a mentor as such. But have thought that a mentor might be a good idea. I think I try to follow the good examples from some of the Hubbers who have been with hub pages longer than I have.

My mentor on Hubpages is Kathryn Vercillo because she also likes to crochet like I do.  Plus she's written 1,147 Hubs in the 5 years that she's been on Hubpages, this is a mentor I can try to follow. I admire many writers on Hubpages but Kathryn has made my motivation to be here more enthusiastic.
