Yes I do. I think it's good to use as many web 2.0 as you can. Here's just a few I use.

    Stumbleupon
    Squidoo
    Facebook
    Blogger
    Twitter

I try not to promote my hubs.  I would rather have organic traffic then go around spamming links.  I probably miss out on a lot of traffic but this way I spend more time doing what I actually like doing.

No, I don't.  While I have lower views as a result, at least I know the views come from people who want to read my work and I am not irritating friends or spamming.  Many people promote their work, but I'd rather spend my time writing.

I promote by posting links to hubs on Facebook, Twitter, Scoop.it, Snip.it, Pinterest and PinCred It.

Another very useful method is to participate on outside forums that deal with your subject matter as well as to have a blog with some links back to your hubs.

You certainly can promote them at those places. I get some views from Facebook. I have tried Twitter but haven't had much luck gaining traffic. Stumble Upon, Google Plus, and Pinterest are other venues I've used.
