There is a new summary box for hubs (underneath the title) - how are you using it?
...and are you adding summaries to all your historical hubs? I'm guessing this new box is for SEO purposes.
Yes, it is highly recommended that you sum up what your hub is about in 2 to 3 sentences. If not you will see a symbol beside your hub in your stats.
A concise yet catchy summary will help with search engine optimization. More importantly, it will help attract potential readers when you and others share your hubs. The summery is the blurb that will show up on Facebook, Google+ posts when a hub is shared.
Thanks for your answer Jim! Do you share your hubs with friends on Facebook? I have been too much of a chicken to do it just yet.
When I first began blogging I was reluctant to self-promote. So I started tagging my sharing posts on FB as Shameless Self Promotion. Now I share everything I write on FB, Google+, LinkedIn, etc with my HP referral tracker code in the links.
Thanks Jim! Perhaps I will have more courage to do it once I produce some more material. Could I ask what an HP referral tracker code is?
See http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/referral-program for a full explanation of the tracker code and how to use it.
Yes a summary is important to be your search engine words and I notice this summary now is shorter so you may want to give it a good thought thinking of this.
Yes good point - fewer words but higher impact:)
Pardon me, where can i find the new summary box; for "start a new hub" or hubs that had been published? I can't find them....

How Many visitors do you get in one day on your hubs if you have written approx 150?The reason why I ask is that I have seen so many people on the forums stating they have at least 1000 a day. This is fine but they only have 22 hubs! is it just me, or am I missing something? perhaps my hubs are...

Should I have a Summary?I rarely ever really do a summary, mainly because I don't think about it. But when I have gone to do one, I find that it doesn't flow well to the Hub, and it just seems to make for an awkward introduction. However, as I was writing the first section to a hub, I noticed some...

Hey fellow hubbers,I've been posting quite a few hubs recently and I've also been doing quite a lot of SEO for them however, there is some part of the puzzle that just isn't clicking for me. Most of the people that are coming to my hubs are bouncing, my bounce rate is 78%. Can you look at just 1...
