Okay I need my technical buddies now. It says that for some stupid reason or another the status of my printer is off line. The printer is on! So why is it offline and how do I turn it ONLINE? HELP?

tantrumposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Unplug the printer from your computer.
      and after 10 min,start again.
If that doesn't work, read the printer's leaflet. you'll find help there.

Yep I've unplugged it and turned it off. Gonna give it a few minutes. if not then I'm chucking it out the window and make sure it hits the neighbor's down below :lol

since you unplugged it, then plugged it back in, that means your cable is properly connected to your USB port.

sometimes shutting down your computer and rebooting works.

have you checked your printer assignments to make sure it is finding your printer? it will say it is offline sometimes because it can't recognize a printer. or check the printer settings and make sure 'Use Printer Offline' is not checked. other than that, i have no idea. maybe your husband is "The Printer Whisperer" wink

lmao I wouldn't be surprised. I've unplugged it and plugged it in and it's still not working for me. I am so sick of technology it isn't even funny. I tried sending it via email so I can try it on the desktop and the stupid desktop is acting up too. So yea I'm done!

I think your printer is afraid of having to print out all those pages - it's gonna be so much work for it to do.

What was it 50,000 words?  lol

    Good luck

Is your printer selected as the default printer - in Control Panel - select Printers - see if it has a check mark? or I could pray for it Crazd - that has been working for some of my other friends problems lately!  I just send healing energy.  Ok here comes some.

Hey crazd, glad to see that you managed to print 196 pages (!). Hope you have lots of papers there.

Hey Cagsil, just saw your hub. Where are you getting those pics? Remind me of the time I was obsessed with playing the game Diablo. smile
