What does CPM depends on ?
Yesterday my CPM was 1.70 and today was 2.79.
I don't know on what does CPM depend.
Any suggestion please?
Is that CPM in the HubPages ad program or in AdSense...?
For AdSense, the greatest thing that impacts CPM is the topic of your article. Advertisers choose keywords that they want their ads associated with, and they bid a certain amount (the cost-per-click) to have their ad appear. More competitive keywords can cost dollars per click, while less competitive keywords can cost pennies per click. If your content involves a high competition topic, then your CPM would therefore be higher because you'd get more earnings per click.
For the HubPages ad program, it's less straightforward. However, advertising rates are often related to a number of things: topic, traffic source, and geography. As with AdSense, presumably certain topics would have a higher CPM because they're in higher demand by advertisers. Traffic source may (or may not) affect CPM, because traffic quality varies between search engine, social media, or referral traffic. Finally, advertisers typically pay more for visits from readers in the United States and/or Europe, whereas they'll pay less for visits from other parts of the world.
Mind you, those are just some general statements about online advertising - I'm unsure whether they specifically influence the CPM in the HubPages ad program. But at the end of the day, the CPM you earn is based on the rates HubPages earns for the ads, which most likely varies across one or all of those factors.
It was CPM for hubpages Ad programe.
But you explained both very clearly.
I have one more query.
Do I get any money for visits I get from hubpages? I am very much confused about this.
Once the hub has gone through the quality assessment and ads are enabled, then yes you'll earn money for views from HubPages. But every time you publish a hub, you get 10 to 15 views which won't count, because they're part of the QAP.

I was wondering if Hubpages offer a revenue sharing HTML code that can be implemented into the hubpages members own websites. The Hubpages Ad programme seems to work better than google adsense in respect of how much can be earned per 1000 page views, I would much rather have hubpages adverts being...

Hopefully someone from Hubpages HQ can look into this.I believe that those of us that are using a hosted account with Adsense are not getting any ad revenue on impressions from the niche sites.I base this on the fact that my daily impressions on Hubpages vs Adsense differ by a factor of about 100....

Now that the general Hubpages population can join the Hubpages ad program I have to wonder, is it worth it? I have been with Hubpages about two months and have only gained a couple clicks on Adsense. Do I have a better chance of making money from the HP program, or should I stick with...

I just wrote a Hub last week entitled "Adam Lambert Sexed for Success". It did quite well, in fact it receive over 1700 views in less than a week. (that's good for me, anyway). My overall ranking on hubpages as of this morning was 96. The article was ranked anywhere from 87 - 93 and the...
