Yeah sounds about right, it happens to me as well every month, for about 10 days I get a low amount of traffic then all of a sudden it picks up again and all's well for the next 2 to 3 weeks, before it starts all over again. I would love to know what causes this. I don't think it's anything HP is doing so could it be caused by Google?

I am experiencing low traffic too. I share a lot of social media, but this seems to be a trend.  Thanks for the encouragement sleepylog.  Hopefully it will soon be up again.

Numbers are about the same, but have lots of red triangles.  I guess that is a good sign.

The internet isn't full of psychics! If you aren't driving traffic to your hubs yourself, then how do you expect others to know they exist? This platform is a ghost town! Considering what I just mentioned, its obvious that social networking drives traffic, and you should consider focusing your efforts there. Google+ drives more traffic than any other social network as well. Just write an article here, make a post with a link to it from there, and voila, tons of traffic. That is if people like the post anyway. Some people on Google+ write one article, make one post, and get 10,000+ people to read it in a matter of a few hours!

I made 2 posts on Google+ to articles on my website last week, and over 5,000 people read them. Why? Because they liked the content, so they shared it with others.

The biggest problem is that you guys are relying on organic traffic for a domain such as Hubpages that has more content than Google is ever going to return to users. You need to find other ways to drive traffic here.

For me, Facebook is the one that brings the most traffic, with Twitter running second.

I agree Carola, Facebook does produce good traffic, so does Google+.  I think the whole idea isn't so much to share content, but to get others to share it for us. I actually rarely share to twitter or facebook, because others do it for me.

How do you know what I do to get traffic? I get traffic from loads of non-HP sources and Google is my biggest source of traffic. Get over yourself mate, you're not the only one who knows how to get traffic. This article is about traffic fluctuations.

I dont really care where you get your traffic from Sleep log. Nor did I ever claim where you did get it from. Guess you like to put words in peoples mouths it seems.

Some hub traffic falls during the weekends, but it pick back up during the weekdays. More traffic comes from making the right keywords, you can make keywords in your title, article, and url's.

I disagree entirely. Again, relying on organic traffic is a bad move. If its traffic you want, then you need your own website, or actually work to get traffic in some manner. Simply hoping it goes up and stays up is like making a wish.

Me too. I had a sudden tripling about a month ago, and now is dropping back. Had exactly the same experience last year about this time. But I do almost no promotion beyond occasional sharing to facebook. I get what I get, and deserve no better.
