I don't understand what this is because I dont send emails from a google email address? yet I have so many views from here?
When you publish a hub it sends a message to your subscribers (followers) if they have chosen to be notified.
Someone must have got a notification email via their gmail account, and clicked on the link.
Aw thanks for your reply, I was just curious, I want to know what everything mean. I guess I thought that would of been classed as internal(hubpages) nice to know my subscribers are interested then
Yep, linked to through e-mail!
Either it isa follower or someone thought your site was worth sending to someone else, either way it's good!
Sorry for going a slightly different direction... still stats related though...
My stats show a few page views images.google.com
Am I understanding this correctly -- Is it the actual name of the image that Google is using?
I almost never use captions with my graphics. Should I be naming my files with key words before I upload them?
I'm just not sure if the pics are showing in Google images because they are from a page that uses the keywords, or if it is the name of the file itself.
I didn't know this either, thanks for finding out for me too.
glad you asked the question. I had wondered also and now we all know.
I have received a few hits from google mail.
Images.google.com is from the google images search engine, that means that some of the photos you have tagged are appearing in Google Images Search.
when you say tag the image-- are you tagging the file name as a keyword?
I almost understand....
Tags can mean several things, in this case however I am refering to the attributes of a picture. Hubpages makes it easy, if you create a picture you can give it a description. This, and the text around it, with a few other factors are those which affect your search rankings on Google Image Search.

Stats have updated three times today. The one day, seven day and 30 day totals have changed but the 'Page Views Ever' have remained the same with each update. The last time this happened (in October) I lost 15,000 views in the 'Page Views Ever' total. What's happening now with...

Over the weekend one of my hubs had a significant amount of pins/repins. Now I realize that each pin doesn't translate into a view of the hub because not everyone that pins actually goes to the link, but usually when I get a fair amount of repins, especially this many, my views go up by a...

I was checking stats on specific hubs to see where traffic is coming from, and it's strange. Is there a change? It's only showing Hubpages views and Google.com... what happened? Will our original stats return? I hope so.And it's not showing Keyword search terms.Excuse this thread if there is...

Ever since the switch to subdomains, I have seen specific subdomain names listed on the traffic stats for individual Hubs; and on the Traffic Sources Page, the numbers for HubPages have seemed to decline (understandably). Recently, I have seen higher numbers for HubPages.com, and I don't...
