If it's something she picked out, she obviously wants it. I'd say go for it. However, that's not a very romantic gift, so I would include a really sweet note or card with it. Could the watch be engraved?
I am also superstitious (on occasion) but have never heard of the watch thing before.
If she reeeaaallly likes it (and wants it) then I say go for it! Although habee made a good suggestion about the engraving. Would make it a little more personal and special. Good luck :-)
It would depend solely on the fact of whether or not she wanted a watch.
All sorts of varieties of watches too get her a pendant or clip watch, they work too good luck n happy holidays!
I think it is a wonderful idea. But make sure it isn't too fancy, get her a Fossil, Guess or Anne Klein-- anything more would be too much at this stage of the game. Merry Christmas
