What do you think about the idea of 'Boot Camp: A Five Featured Hub Barrier to Fight Spam'?
do you think its a hassle? or its something positive?
I feel that it is quite a good scheme as it filters out the serious bloggers from the ones who "just want to try it out." It doesn't actually take much, actually. I've been here for only 4 days and I've completed it.
I like the idea. It didn't make long to make it through as my first five hubs I wrote got featured. I think it also helps new people pinpoint what they need to work on to produce higher quality hubs.
I think it's a good idea and I'm only one featured hub away till I meet that requirement. So, basically I completed the fives hubs in four days. But, with the 24 hour assessment period this will be my fifth day ironic isn't it haha.
I don't like how it's called boot camp though. It's more of a training period than boot camp. New Hubber training period would be better. That said, it's a good idea to get people to actually focus on writing good hubs.

I have been thinking about how I can give some of my hubs that receive less traffic more light. On our profiles, we can pick a bunch of hubs that feature in a "gallery" that fades in and out, right under our bios and above the published hubs listed in the bottom section. This year, my...

I understand that during "boot camp", while I still haven't reach 5 featured hubs, my unfeatured hubs are not public. If I write hubs that not get featured after I passed "boot camp", are they still not public?

Do you remember your first five hubs and are they still featured?Three of my first five were unfeatured recently due to lack of traffic, but I fixed them and they are back on the block. I was new on HP a year ago, and did not know anything about capsules, photos, videos or columns. I...
