Politics and IT, kinda
Being that I just published my first one, I suppose it qualifies as my most popular!
Lol. That's a good one. Just a word from experience: you may want to pick just one topic to write about. This way you can become known as an expert on that subject. Of course make sure you t an expert before claiming to be one. Confidence is the key
Very surprisingly to me, my most popular hub is under the "Fashion and Beauty" category and is about Prison Tattoos! That one hub has the most views ever for me and stands at close to 91,000 views!
My second best hub has a total of 34,000 views and is in the Health category. I have quite a few hubs in the health category as I am a retired Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Third most popular hub has 31,000 views and is in the Holidays and Celebrations category (Halloween).
I am not as active at HP as I used to be, but I do like writing here. I need to get back to it.
My holiday ones are high but only at that time of the year. My beauty one is the highest hub of mine but that category and health are hard to beat because of things like webmd and Wikipedia. My beauty one was my first one so that also could be why.
My most popular hub is the one about energy drinks. The second most popular is usually the one about how to succeed in college. It tends to vie with the story I wrote, "When Love is Stolen".
My hubs tend to be about travel, snowboarding and cross-training for it, overcoming fear, and religions / cults. I guess I'm still finding my voice.

What was the topic of your most popular hub?As a new hubber I am seeing odd results for my hubs. The ones that I felt would be the most popular were not and the ones that I thought would be light traffic hubs---had great numbers. I am looking to maximize my views and my money!!

First a disclaimer is in order.I broke the evergreen rule with this approach. I knew it going in and did it anyway. What the hell, sometimes rules are made to be broken. Sometimes a gamble pays off, often it doesn't. I do live in Las Vegas though so it is in my blood! Hubs should be on evergreen...

Hello Everyone, I hope you all had a great week. For me it has been a very good week, my ankle seems to have healed perfectly -it even passed the high heel test- and my arm cast finally came off, just leaving me with a few sessions of re-education before I can start using my hand...

What is your single most-visited hub? Why do you think it's so popular?Mine is "The Best Homemade Mexican Salsa". It doesn't have polls, videos or any other features that are supposed to drive more traffic and yet it consistently gets more views.

Is it better to categorize your hub under a or subtopic to get more views? Is it better to categorize your hub under a topic (i.e. Health) or subtopic (i.e. Diet and Weight Loss within the Health topic) to generate more views?
