HELP! Massive spam glitch/problem!
I was delighted this morning to wake up and see I had 14 new comments on various hubs of mine. But on every single one, the comments have nothing to do with the article! For example, on my anime review article, someone's posted about social media.
It's happened overnight - loads of spammy comments all over my hubs!
Does anyone else have this problem? It's very annoying and I really need help with it, does my account have some sort of problem?
It's been happening to me, too. Out of, like, 25 messages, only 2 of them seemed to be at all related to the article in question.
...And even then, I have my doubts...
Same issue here. Woke this morning to lots of new comments, all but two were spam. Might be a site wide issue. Hoping problem is solved soon.
I've had this problem before, but it has not returned. I don't think it has to do with your account. More likely you've been randomly targeted by some spambot, but I understand your frustration and the annoyance of having to delete those spam messages.
We suggest that you set your Hubs such that each comment must be approved before it is published.
You can then approve or mark comments as SPAM.
This helps us identify future SPAM messages as well, so you are helping other writers prevent SPAM comments on their Hubs by reporting these as well.
