Can writing for hubpages be considered an occupation?
I have a backup if my first choice career does not work out; my backup is journalism. Can writing for hubpages be considered experience with writing articles? Should writing for hubpages be something I put on my resume?
I would say so. On a CV/resume, you can put that you have been a freelance writer. HubPages provides you with an income, even if it isn't a lot. I've been writing for years, and this is the only place where I've been paid! The beauty of this site is that you own your work and have the freedom to write about what you want. When writing for others, it can be a lot more restrictive.
I consider it as a plus point worth of mentioning in your resume for journalism or any other kind of content writing jobs. Further, hubpages is a great platform for improving your skills and become a great writer even if you are not earning money.
