   How important it's your activity on Hubpages for your subdomain SEO?
   
   If you have more featured hubs, comments, questions and answers, will your subdomain do better in Google Search?  Is all this activity creating backlinks for your subdomain?
   
   I have 2 months on Hubpages, 14 featured hubs, 41 follovers, but less than 500 views in all this period. How much time should I wait, or how much hubs should I have to write, until I see decent amount of traffic?

   You will not get significant traffic until you have around 50 quality Hubs. This however is for an average writer. If you are good you could exceed that in one day. You will need to write in several places and get involved in forums as well as be active on social media to see the best results.
   
   There really is no substitute for content and that all has to be good original stuff designed to help provide solutions and information that is useful or entertaining for your visitors. If you can do that then readers will come, and the numbers will maximize when they start to post links for you because they like your stuff.

   Your subdomain, username.hubpages.com, will likely never do well in Google searches. That's because nobody is looking for "username + hubpages" unless they are very interested in what you're writing about and you always write about the same subject. Now your specific hubs may do well if you optimize them for specific keywords.
   
   Let's look at keywords like this, you want something that gets a decent amount of searches but isn't so broad you'll be completing with high end companies. So if you review nVidia graphics cards and you're reviewing the nVidia GTX 980 then "nvidia gtx 980 review" would be a decent keyword. "nvidiea gtx 980" puts you in competition with everyone selling and reviewing that product. "nvidia gtx" puts you in the same boat, but with everyone selling and reviewing all nvidia gtx products. And "nvidia" puts you in competition with everyone mentioning nvidia on their sites.
   
   You want to use keywords that are pretty specific but still get a decent amount of traffic. Optimizing your hubs accordingly will help you attain decent rankings for those searches and drive traffic to your hubs.
   
   I haven't been incredibly active on Hubpages for a few years but I'm at 4 years membership and 57,000+ views. If you want a lot of views, get active on forums and social media, promote your hubs without advertising them, and continue writing. But promote without advertising I mean get involved with forums of the topics your write about and use your hubs as links to help others who need the information you provide. One person may be asking for the information, but 1000 more may catch the page and on search and follow your link.

      Thanks for your answer, and for your examples. How many views do you have in a month now? Are these views more from Google or internal?

      I'm currently at roughly 700 views in the past 30 days. About 70% of my traffic is from search engines, mostly Google.
