What does the number that pops up with seconds beside it indicate when we search for a hubber?
I noticed that when I search for a hubber via HubPages from my account page in the search bar area, the hubber's photo and name will pop up of course, but then a few seconds later all of that hubber's hubs, etc. will load under the profile photo, along with a number in the thousands with so many seconds indicated beside it under their photo. I just checked mine at it had the number 14,600 with .37 seconds by that number. What does that mean? I checked other hubbers and some are down into the single digit thousands. Thank you for clarifying.
Speculating is it is how many times the key phrase shows up in all content. The keywords are Faith and Reaper and the phrase is Faith Reaper.
TMI . . .
(Story Setting: Cup'pa of fresh coffee, just awoke near 2:30 AM, pondering today's latest questions . . . wa-laa an adventure of discovery through exploration :-)
So, looking closer at what was pointed out we get these search results:
Faith - 160,000 at 0.24 sec
Reaper - 17,100 at 0.29 sec
Faith Reaper - 15,900 at 0.23
BTW, if you use the 'Sort By' feature at the upper right and use 'Date' instead of 'Relevance' you will get a different result.
Okay, what does that mean. Let's look. When typing in 'Faith Reaper' the first article is 'Avatars: What Should a "Faith Reaper" Avatar Look Like?' Next, I copy/pasted to a Word document (Oopps!). Then, I used the find/replace feature (Including comments) for Word to count the the keywords first and then the keyword phrase:
Faith - 254
Reaper - 185
Faith Reaper - 179
I substituted 'Faith Reaper' with a 'blank'. What remains for the keywords are:
Faith - 95
Reaper - 6
So, how specifically HP does the final summary for 'Faith Reaper' with that count number asked can strongly be suggested it is the phrase as the key search. That seems so since the pattern for all contrast an article is the same. Or, 'Faith Reaper' as a phrase is distinguished with a lesser count in both cases of keywords.
Still, drinking coffee more playtime is offered. What about Google remembering it is close to everything?
Faith - About 535,000,000 results (0.40 seconds)
Reaper - About 41,300,000 results (0.27 seconds)
Faith Reaper - About 941,000 results (0.36 seconds)
Aha . . . the same pattern. Let's look even closer yet.
Faith Reaper distinguished as specific search phrase when set in quotation marks.
"Faith Reaper" - About 13,300 results (0.26 seconds)
hmmmmm . . . Google is less than HP? Google = 13,300 < HP = 15,900. Seems perhaps what is unfeatured may have an impact as those are not made available to Google for search results. Possibly a question closed may be in that group too?
A conclusion is 'Faith Reaper' is unique. :-)
Wow, Tim, you have gone above and beyond in researching this ...it is all very interesting and complex to me. That's a lot of results, I guess, in those few seconds. All my hubs are featured, but I have unpublished some on my own. Bless you!
Tim Mitchell, you are awesome!!! How deep and how an amazing person you are. A simple question has been answered with so much deep, wonderful information. I could never think of doing so much search about it. Really great information here.
