   Maybe they will eat the snakes and snake eggs in that compost too. I haven't eaten it yet, but I know they are good food, friends of mine have told me. I love wildlife too coming to my yard. It is so cool.

   My partner made me smile earlier, though he doesn't know it. I was having a moment of consternation and holla'd for his help. He delivered in his usual unruffled way and the sun came back out.

    Several years ago a friend recommended keeping a daily "joy journal".  At the end of each day, you think back and find the joys and list them.  It is an incredible up-lifting experience to read back through it when your day is going downhill.

    i had such a crappy day. my baby is getting her molars...sucky. it felt like my boyfriends workday would never end. once it did i went to the store to get a break. when i walked out to my car there was a note slipped into the door that read, "you looked so beautiful i had to leave a note to ask you to call me later *number* *name*"
    now, of course i'm not going to call this number.
    but boy if a little attention doesn't perk a girl up.

    When I opened my email today and found I had two new fans and several new comments. That brought a smile to my face.
    
    It was a great way to start the morning. I also found out that one of my fans was referred to me by another hubber who recommended reading of my writing.
